What the Hell is Blinko, Anyway?

Blinko (www.blinko.com) is one of the brand names belonging to a company named Buongiorno USA Inc., owned by Italian company Buongiorno Group Company. Blinko provides ringtones, games, graphics, animations, backgrounds/wallpapers, and other programs and media for cell phones.

Their service works on cell phone accounts from AT&T, Cingular Wireless, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, Nextel, and possibly others. The SMS numbers, or "shortcodes" they use are: 25000, 42222, 35000 and possibly others. I know that the messages I was receiving from Blinko were from 69069, however, that shortcode may have been discontinued.

Buongiorno USA Inc. also owns a website called PeopleSound (www.peoplesound.com), which provides MP3s of up-and-coming bands along with popular groups. I have no experiences with PeopleSound at all. And since they are owned by the same company as Blinko, I never WILL.

At least, not by my own choosing. I damn well better not get "mysteriously" subscribed to their service, either.

Anyway, If you have been subscribed for Blinko services without your knowledge or consent and you have a cell phone provider other than the ones listed here, please email me to let me know and I will add the information to the list.
